The men's 10 metre air rifle competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics was held on August 16 at the Markópoulo Olympic Shooting Centre near Athens, Greece. The two Chinese shooters in the event, Zhu Qinan and Li Jie, secured a double victory with Slovakia's Jozef Gönci claiming the bronze. Still a junior, Zhu equalled the junior world record in the qualification round, one point short of the perfect 600, and then went on to set a new final world record of 702.7 points.
